2013 Holiday Blend Cupping

In 2012 with the holidays in full swing, we hosted a cupping event to showcase holiday blends from our roaster partners around the US. We received coffees from more than a dozen roasters from all parts of the country. The cupping event brought together roasters, baristas, and coffee geeks from Seattle and around the northwest for what was a fun way to celebrate the coffee of the holidays.

We’re reviving the holiday blend cupping again this year with a cupping event on December 6th starting at 10am our learning lab in Seattle. The event is open to the public, and free to attend.

This year, we’re adding a giving component to the event, in support of the Ballard Food Bank. We invite holiday blend cupping attendees to bring an item or two to help fulfill the food bank’s wish list.

Updates from our Training Team

In just over a month the La Marzocco USA training team will be traveling to Minneapolis to take over the the Minneapolis Coffee Mill at Cafe Imports for the week of December 9th. Our team is anxious to break out of the Northwest and enjoy some serious winter weather. You can bet we will all be layering up with La Marzocco scarves and jackets, and digging out our boots for a climate that’s just a bit different from ours in Seattle.

We’ve had great response from all over the country, as people are anxious to join us for technical training. Today, the three-day technical training is almost completely booked up.

During our time in Minneapolis, we are also conducting a one-day training geared toward sales professionals. We’re incredibly excited about this new program, as we feel it will be helpful to any wholesale sales professionals who are looking for a better understanding of who La Marzocco is as a company, and to better understand our product lineup. We’ve previously noted some of the main goals of this training; if you’d like to be part of this one-day training on December 13th, please email training@lamarzoccousa.com.

Our training programs are designed to empower new and existing customers with the tools and training necessary to build healthy, long-lasting sales and service programs. Trainings are offered monthly in Seattle, and periodically in other US markets.
